TaxApp · operated by Velocity Tax Group, LLC · Conroe, Texas · Last updated August 23, 2026

1. Who we are & scope

TaxApp is a practice platform for tax and accounting firms, built and operated by Velocity Tax Group, LLC, a Texas limited liability company (a dedicated TaxApp entity is in formation and will assume operation on notice). This Policy explains how we handle information collected through this website and, at a summary level, on the TaxApp platform. Firms that subscribe to TaxApp receive a Master Subscription Agreement and Data Processing Addendum that govern platform data in detail.

2. Information we collect

3. Tax return information (IRC §7216)

The platform is built for data protected as "tax return information" under IRC §7216 and as nonpublic personal information under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Platform data is used only to provide the service to the subscribing firm and its clients — never for advertising, resale, or any unrelated purpose.

4. U.S.-only processing; no AI training

All platform data is processed and stored within the United States and is not transferred outside the U.S. Platform data is not used to train any artificial-intelligence model. These commitments are contractually required of every service provider we use.

5. AI assistance, human decisions

TaxApp uses AI to classify, extract, organize, summarize, and draft. AI output is decision support for credentialed professionals — a credentialed human reviews and signs every return; AI never makes the final determination on anyone's taxes.

6. Service providers (subprocessors)

Each is contractually bound to safeguard data, use it solely to provide the service, process it only in the U.S., not train on it, and receive the written notice required by IRC §§6713/7216. We do not sell personal information.

7. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards under a Written Information Security Plan aligned to the FTC Safeguards Rule: multifactor authentication, row-level access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, and an immutable audit log. No system is perfectly secure; if a security incident occurs, we will notify affected parties and authorities as required by law.

8. Retention

Website inquiry data is kept only as long as needed to respond and follow up. Platform data retention follows the subscribing firm's instructions, professional standards (including IRC §6107), and applicable law.

9. Your rights

Depending on your state (including under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and, for California residents, the CCPA), you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about our handling of your personal information. Contact jon@etci.io. For data held on the platform on behalf of a firm, contact that firm — we act on its instructions. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

10. Cookies

This site uses essential and standard analytics cookies. You can control cookies through your browser. We honor applicable "do not sell/share" and opt-out signals.

11. Children

Our services are for adults; we do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
